Altered Bucket

One of my new Fave altered pics here... Might make a nice card too- I think it also hints of Easter time with these colors.

On Day Off took a quick pic of the large bucket just outside the Post Office door. Looks like the Garden Club made the most of those two good days in a row last week also... In this case, I like the colorful altered image of it better!

Mini-Summer

We had a three day Mini-Summer at the beginning of Spring, after skipping winter, except on Halloween...

How unlikely the truth sounds!


So far everyone I talked to liked their mini-Summer. I did alot of laundry, picked up some litter across the road, raked one-third of the yard, planted beet seeds out on the deck, n started some seeds indoors too. It felt good to get some of it done. I'd like to do more, but it's back to the night job time, n it's getting cooler again...


I do wonder if it will snow in July...

Finally the official start of Spring arrives with the Equinox today. Now that "Meet Me on the Equinox" tune from the Twilight, "New Moon" movie is stuck in my head again...


We're expecting a 70F degree day here, n I'll be trying to wake up n get out for chores early for me. All the stuff I was hoping to wait a few weeks for has to be done now- Raking the lawn, picking up eyesore litter in the woods across the road, bug spray around the house foundation, planting seeds, n re-potting plants- all needs to be done ASAP. Of course all the regular errands n chores have to get done too.

Then there's the Spring Cleaning to get to... Moving furniture n washing walls, clearing cobwebs n dusting off books... of course I'm, not in the mood for that!

At this point of fatigue I'll be happy to be able to get anything on the list done.

I'd much rather just sit on the deck n drink tea with Mischief n a book, then go walk down a familiar beach n watch another a unique sunset transform. If only I could afford to loaf more...

This one was in March 2010 at Fave Beach. Hope I get back there again soon, it's always worth the trip, tho the price of fuel is definately crimping my travels lately.

This image is so much prettier than the grey day we had Tuesday.

The Boat Ramp Beach was nearly invisable in the warm fog.

I had a bumper crop of errands n chores this week, having put off so much while feeling under the weather recently. Alot got done at least.

Oh look, a little Leprechaun-ish guy to cheer up my St Patty's Day week magically appeared...

My poor sinuses seem to be having the normal April symptoms from pollen a whole month early this year, n I haven't totally recovered from last weeks's illness.

Last week I heard a Robin singing in the morning, n a peeper peeping in the dark near work. These sure fire signs of Spring aren't due until April, n it's only "Beware the Ides of March" time...

Plus the Tiger Lillies are sprouting in the woods across the road. Won't be long until the green takes over again.

At Coolness Captured today I won the Gold Star, guessing original objects of altered images... I tend to play with that stuff alot.


I really like it when the water turns so many colors other than blue...

It's been a very long time since I've been so incapacitated as to be unable to even read.... But the bug that got me the past couple days did that.

Normally, I'd consider my Days Off totally wasted, but the up-side is I did really need the sleep, n it will also help me to re-adjust to the Spring Ahead clock time this week-end. It was really hell not keeping Tylenol for the head-ache n fever down tho- I'm just happy I can now drink n eat a little bit again tonight. Whew!

I feel wiped out like the Bamboo across the road.
