Finding Sun

We've been doing lots of clouds on Day Off here. At least I got to some errands after the lightning, n will be able to eat some goods this week. Easter candy is still waiting, soup stewing again. Bunny Day was a complete zero for me this year. Nothing Easter related was done all day.

So many work folks have been down with a flu bug, n that's been my problem. This wave 2 - I wish I'd gotten the shot for it. Then work changed the normal production sequence, n my neck has been out of whack ever since.

I'm pathetically sore n starving. Tree pollen is doing me in, on top of that-. Taking double-Benedryl isin't even making a dent in the head-ache.So yes, the rain at least helps that part. I'm not getting enough yard stuff done- One corner left to rake, n sticks to haul away, All is waiting. Wish work would too...

School Vaca time here, at least the kids are having fun. These are more old sunny shots from fond memories again. Back to playing Catch-up for me. I hope tomorrow goes better...

Almost Easter Already

A temporary setback to un-quiting freezing temps this week has me loafing inside to wait-out a cold virus recovery. There are now 4 mini-daffodils n a Hyacinth out in the side garden. Good thing I waited on seed planting. Maybe I'll do some indoors this week.

Much yard work is just waiting on me to feel better. Really I'm just exhausted heading into Easter week-end. Of course I'll have to work on the holiday. We have new Boston Strong products adding to crazy week-end orders.

Following Easter, Patriots Day is Marathon Monday, n so many folks are determined to cross that finish-line this year, after last year's devastation. Hopefully better security prevents any harm to the runners n spectators this year.

I hope all the Fundraisers do way better this time. Have a fun holiday hunting down those good eggs...
I have cookies n creme n peanut butter ones. just hope I feel good enough to eat some.

A  tiny, Mini-Daffodil,  in my poor leaf-littered new garden where I wintered some spent  plants  from the house n deck  last summer. The pic isin't very good, but cam is always yellow-blossom challenged, n has no macro-setting.

So I raked n turned soil on the little spot. The Hyacinth is sprouting also... Wonder if the Bleeding heart will  appear this year too...

Frankly

In the land of "Where is Spring?" we finally had a non-rainy day over 40 F here, n I got the front yard raked after errands. TV said the ocean temp is still only 35 F, n the sea-breezes are making it cooler here than inland. It has been a very windy week-

But I'm eternally grateful to not have accumulating snow! It was spitting wet n melting snow during the past week's storm tho. And under the leaves in the front garden were sprouting green Tiger Lilies. Also I've noticed pretty nasty allergy head-aches which require double Benedryl to get pushed down.

Normally, I'd have started seeds indoors in mid-March, but the house is still too cool n heat too expensive. I'll be catching up on the heat bill all summer. Seeds for the deck maybe next week- Home Veggies will be eaten later on this year.

I have a few distractions vying for attention in the next few weeks. One is reading all the paper instructions to correctly fill out the State Tax form which usually takes 20 hours or so.

The other took me way by surprise- A visitor last week brought me "FrankenStein," an aggregate of old machine parts pieced together for a better way for me to be online!

The stack's RAM n Hard-drive memory is way better on it, n tho I'll still be using dial-up service, it should be faster. I'm still working on installing programs n files from the old machine for my pics. I have to switch the one monitor back n forth, n have already eaten some dust bunnies cleaning up the old wire (cat in-accessible) area.

The "re-animated" machine has a few limitations, but the biggest is me learning how to get it to do what I was on the old one. This will take more free time, meanwhile taxes are priority, n progress is slow, but steady here...

I actually spent a half-hour cleaning garbage from the woods across the road today, which I always try to do before foliage makes it difficult to avoid the thorns. Definitely a spring activity.

Now I just need to do everything at once- What else is new?  (Pic from last week's unfrozen beach walk)
