Forest Flower

Tree pollen head-aches have begun. It's a safe bet that even with allergy pills the next few weeks will be diificult until all the leaves are out.

Back when I thought I'd be rich at this point in life, I had a plan to escape the tree pollen. After fixing so many boats it occurred to me I should buy a large cabin cruiser n go out to sea for a few weeks each spring until the tree pollen is done.

That sounds so relaxing. Wish I had one.

Now I don't even own a rowboat, tho- n even the price of a canoe is beyond my reach. Due to increases of heat cost, my bill funds are so tight I'm contemplating finding a second job for the summer. I may never even get to enjoy any vaca time at all. The boss still won't put my remaining vaca time on the calender, with more earned by June. It's frustrating to be so bone-tired n not getting what was already earned each time I go to the office to do it.

Time with proper weather conditions n no pressures seems to be what I need tho.

One of my neighbors always throws out her bought potted flowers across in the woods. This year these Daffodils are turned in the forest direction by the strong breeze, n are joined by a sprouting Tulip green.

I had thoughts to sit n read in the sunshine this week, but the clouds have foiled the plan, plus it's windy n too cool out. Oh well, I guess after errands I'll do laundry, chores,  n read inside this week.

I do enjoy these accidental flowers each day as I head out. My Mini ones aren't blooming yet. I did spy Forcynthias coming out yesterday. It's a slow but steady start.

Rising Color

Earlier this week before going to bed I caught a glimpse of awesome sunrise colors in the kitchen window. I ran out to the deck in the chilly air with my new cam n snapped the view thru the trees of the dawn over the B-cove. Soon the leaves n pollen will crowd in the way of seeing this.

Finally the photos are more colorful than the altered counterparts, plus they came out well,

The chill is coming back overnights this week. We've been spoiled above freezing for a few weeks. I moved a bunch of plants outside, n had to cover them with plastic the past few nights.

I started a few seed flats for Petunias n Impatiens to see if I can save a few bucks n trips to the store. I already bought a tomato, n more strawberries for the deck. Last year's strawberries were brought in for the winter, n re-sprouted last week, so maybe I'll get more than one per day this year.
I'm really looking forward to some free deck food, because I've been so broke lately paying bills that I've cut way back on shopping.

I've been so busy with errands this week, that I put off the rest of the raking. This post took days to do-now that I have some pics to work with.
I've had little time for reading also.

Blogland weems to be in slow-motion recently. So many blog friends have gone out on sabatical, at least it's easier to catch-up.

Hopefully I'll find more pic upload n posting time for this slow machine. I've got an upload back-log going on now. Sleep keeps winning priority position. These actually got done after I fell asleep... Sorry I'm off my regular timing. Better late than never...

Reflectionz

Things are starting to look up now  that taxes are done n the temps have been above freezing in the balmy 50 's this week. I'm hoping to find time for cleaning up the yard n starting some seeds to transplant to deck containers after frost danger. I finally got some potting soil so I can begin.

There is so much out there to pick up, the deck alone may take a whole day to get the old leaves n flowerpot piles cleaned up. Hopefully I can find the Lilly pots n chicken wire protect them before the squirrels dig them up.

Now sunsets are later, just after 7pm, so there's a better chance to catch a sunset after errands n maybe take more pics with the new cam. I'm still struggling to get better, usable shots.

I'm again revisiting old cam files, where I have so many unused pics. This one from the D-bridge at sunset is from July 2014. It shows 6 Canadian geese silhouettes with reflections. I'm reflecting thoughts on that balmy warmth n colors to look forward to again.

More old pics will appear in "Reflectionz" posts with new altered images in the near future...

I'll take Spring in whatever increments are available-

Nope, not all done with taxes yet, still have 3 pages left on the state form, mostly zeros n reading instructions, then need to copy it all n get in the mail hopefully this week.

Blossom Break

If this doesn't look like a Spring Gremlin, nothing does! Someone must've watered it after midnight...

I slightly "twirled" an Impatien macro pic from the new cam. I really like it that way-

I have very sporadic, one or two at a time blossoms in the dim, chilly window, keeping company with the Christmas Cacti, n African Violets blooming the same minimal way.

They dry out every day, with the heat going, but have managed to stay alive from the deck seedlings growing so late last summer.

Just today a lone primrose bloom from last year popped up on the window sill also. At least I have some green friends in here. Maybe I'll start some indoor seeds tomorrow. Still going nuts on taxes here- Back to work!
