More Colorful

The Autumn color dance is quietly cutting in. Just outside my side-yard window the HuckleBerry tree waves a colorful vine boa, and a few yellowed leaves. The vines always turn first, Trees grew leaves so late this warm season, it seems too soon to let them go.

Perhaps the rain we are expecting today may add more leaf color to the free show we get here in the NorthEast USA. All but two days all summer I've had to water the deck garden this growing season. Soon I'll be deciding what to try to bring in to avoid frost, and if I must pick the last six green tomatoes.

Image by SnaggleTooth Sept 2014 The editor is messing with my pics again today. I'm wondering if this one will load the whole image on the blog, because twice when added in the editor, only half of it is showing here. I haven't been able to get to the better machine often lately. Notably it's more of a chore to get posts out from home.

I installed more of my programs on the new machine, n almost don't need to use the old one anymore, until I run into a  filter custom  dialogue setting I need to do these altered images. I've been writing them in a notebook as I find them n resetting the custom way I've been doing these.

Out doing errands today, I was surprised at the price increases, especially on produce n meat. I got a mini-pumpkin for a dollar . I tried planting seeds from last years, but never got results from any of the squash.

Looking forward to a new Grey's Anatomy plus SpiderMan II to watch this week. Also working on a short-term project I began on my free week. A lazy, rainy Day Off coming up here... Yay~

Pastel

Discourse concerning my job on ESR has most often been about getting sore n over-tired. I can't afford to reveal company details or corporate identity, but basically it's a high volume, kitchen / bakery factory which distributes to about one-third of my state. Previously, I've only given out that info in comments elsewhere.

An opinion about the psychological nature of people I work with has come to my attention recently. I've come to the conclusion that to work like we do, to some degree we all have OCD,  ( we are compulsive ). We are all more comfortable being busy than not. Plus we are all very picky, but each about different things.

Each person uses the limited production workspace with their set-up differently. They place racks the way that suits them, and some folks are notably space hogs, pushing others out of room to get their work accomplished. Some workers are big bullies, muscling whatever they want from other folks who had worked to go get and empty what was needed for their product.

Some folks there are compulsive talkers, n always bug others who are trying to concentrate on counting out orders correctly as fast as possible. It is a definite accuracy handicap for me.

We have all learned to be squirrels with supplies like gloves and pens, because if they are not hidden for another day, they will disappear during cleaning crew time. They even get stolen the minute your back is turned when supplies are running low...

This week gloves were missing in the regular shipment. For three days workers scrounged n searched and shared what was availble. I was the last one to have gloves to dish out to everyone. Guess I'm the most worried about running out, because I don't want to cut my hands open, which would happen if I didn't have gloves on. Guess I'm the best glove squirrel there ...

Maybe everyone is compulsive about something at work.

 Are you?

LoafaLot

Here in the land of LoafaLot, I awoke very late, n took my sweet time, feeling a bit under the humid, hot weather. Well, it's too hot n the pollen is high.

I checked the weather radar, n made a quick trip uptown to grab a can of breadcrumbs before the severe t-storm weather alerts could derail my meatloaf plan.

Now many hours later, I still don't feel great, but it's a luxury not to have to work n get the extra rest I need anyhow. The meatloaf was good, n I'm very full with plenty of left-overs the rest of the week- so not much more cooking needed later on. Yay on lazy food later...

Always a double-edged sword in the Land of LoafaLot. Get rest, don't get as much done, it's a toss-up. I want both.

Hopefully I awaken tomorrow with more ambition n feeling up to doing more. Have so much to choose from, it may take another nothing day to decide what to do first...

Yep, I went swimming at the main beach Thursday, but it was windy. You couldn't see thru the water, n there weren't many boats around for spotters. The little fish are schooling n jumping out of the water, splashing all over the place. I got nervous, due to the day before's shark attack report in Plymouth, so didn't go deep as usual n only was in for a few minutes. I estimate a shark could go thru the canal n get her in just a few hours from there without going fast... so I won't push my luck- If I'd felt better I would've gone again these past two days of warmth, but just not feeling better yet.

Some Time in September

September already, n the crowds are way down, except the Back to School one...
I have my Days Off, then work one day, then have a glut of free time to catch-up on so much on the back-log list.

Being away from work is going to cheer me right up, as soon as the sore muscles recoup. Have so much house stuff to do- Just hope it doesn't take me all week to relax. Can't wait to get my fingernails grown back to play guitar with too.

Got alot of movie plans. A work buddy gave me an Indiana Jones dvd collection minus the last one, which I already have. Of Course all his stuff is stored in the cloud in HD now- but I'm glad I get something to watch out of it. My new entertainment stuff budget has been zip for awhile.

Been away from this zippy machine for weeks, so gotta hurry n check your blog stuff n pay the bills while I'm here, plus a few info searches.

Planning to get to the main beach after the Post Office errands tomorrow. Hoping to swim finally, if I feel like it. I'll let the horse flies decide. Get to take my time on laundry this week, yay~!

Here's some tomatoes picked out on the deck today, next to Thyme, Petunias, n Impatiens (from seeds) which are finally doing well. We're having a super hot week, n I hope warm sticks around awhile longer here...
