I had one with kaliedoscoped people in it at one point, but forgot the angle number n couldn't get it back... Oh well! Trying to relax more this week anyhow...

Got tons of pics to play with n little time again.

Made it to the beach for another toe dipping before errands yesterday. My sore legs really feel better after the cold salt bath. today's pic was of a group of grounded kayaks awaiting rental.

I dragged one somewhere else while here n need to find it. It looked more like pumpkin pie than this one.

Maybe I'll fit in more trips. Anyway, it makes my week! Hope you all are having a good one.

Water

Halfway thru July, but I finally made it to the beach for a few hours. It felt really good to swim for about a half hour, n get out over my head for awhile.

There was enough time to relax n dry out after, n then I fit in normal shopping after wrangling my hair back in line with just a comb.

Noise at the house has been tough to sleep thru this week. But I get up earlier without an alarm. sitting at the beach was far more restful than getting little sleep due to barking dogs n construction work going on.

Pretty hot n muggy this week, I still think work is hotter than home tho. TG for ice n fans...

This week I'm planning to watch Tom Cruise in the "Jack Reacher" film, based on a book by Lee Child I remember reading a few years ago.

We'll see if it measures up...

Finding Time

It's been difficult for me to get time to be online or the computer the past few weeks. Folks with smartphones seem to have it much easier.

 At work everyone else keeps turning off the break-room light to see their phone, but I hate being in the dark, n also no one is ever paying attention to things around them. I won't bring my tablet there at all, because someone will steal it. I have little free time at work anyhow. Then a later get home time cuts into food n sleep time.

I'm still trying to find a day to get to the beach for a little while. We've been pretty hot n humid here these few weeks, but work has burnt out my energy... Then not sleeping enough is catching up with me.

When I finally got to picture play on Day Off, my paint software started crashing, so I ran out of time for that, too.  So I haven't been as thorough at exploring the possibilities this week.

I like how sometimes they have an illusion of light shining in them... as in this pic.

I made everything from this one crop.

Found these milkweed blooms across from my house by a fence. I haven't seen many bees at all here yet. Or many butterflies, except a large, yellow one out in the garden yesterday. I didn't have much time there either, as it started to pour a moment after I got out there.

It's these little things of beauty that help  keep my sanity. I'd never seen how nifty these flowers were before.  I'll keep exploring the possibilities another time with more time....

OutLand

Yesterday I found this pretty Lily blooming out in the garden. It was a nice surprise after neglecting the garden all week.  MB gave them to me years ago for my deck garden at the other house. I wonder if the red ones will show up for me soon.

Picked more berries. Less rain has them smaller but sweeter, n the slug finding  minimal. Need to buy more whipped creme to go with them. Almost out of yogurt too.  

I hadn't looked at FB all week, n when I finally did found it tough to see everyone doing vacation activities like the beach, concerts, n fireworks because I missed all of that. I just worked myself raw- 12 hours at a whack all week until the Tuesday order finally wasn't really high. 

I ate cold food after work n tried sleeping earlier to get out before noon, n home after 2 am. Gratefully, the loudest prolific barker doggie here went to a new home, so I expect to be woken up less. I should do some nothing time, but can't get further behind on things. I did forget a few things I needed to do already...

Been spending too much free time on doggie patrol lately, n making sure to find attention time for the poor, barked at cats, who are no longer safe in the house.

None  of last weeks dvds got watched, still working on the "OutLander" series set in the Scottish Highlands 18th century. I have the theme tune stuck in my head alot.


Off to the dog tired, errand runs again...
