First, Then Second...
The cooler evening weather n low sun angle has made for a few very pretty sunsets the past few weeks. After posting last week, I was walking home from the Library looking up at this n had my cam. By the few minutes I got to where there were not so many wires in the pic, it was muted at dusk already.
I decided to put it through my paces without any color change, n then without any texture alteration. I didn't have alot of time for as many versions n crops as usual, but I do like every single image I had time to find.
Well I had a great visit, a fun B-day party for a young relative, n the next day was a "First-Thanksgiving" turkey dinner that couldn't be beat. Pies were also very tasty, belly-busters we somehow managed to get inside ourselves. The younger, growing tall folks seem to have become bottomless pits.
The best part was several hours in a row of sleep for me both mornings. Back home again I'm getting awoken repeatedly with noise at least every hour again. Going back to work again really didn't keep me in a good mood either, but was light orders at least until these Days Off.
One more week to make it through to Second-Thanksgiving with folks from around town. It's likely shopping will take alot more time the next few weeks. As always it's a challenge not to spend too much, n to get extra things done. As usual time is speeding past me n I want more done earlier.
All I want is more rest lately. Makes me feel older as another year is winding down. Hope you get to enjoy the rush n get some Turkey. This year I'm grateful for double Turkey, n folks who won't eat the dark meat - it's my Fave n I get alot to take home.
These came out so nifty. It's amazing what natural shapes n color can produce. I made my own sunshine...

The Party's Over
I'm always so relieved when elections are over...
Basically the negative political ads drive me nuts.
This time I'm so apathetic about the outcome, because I figure at this stage of my life it won't make much difference who won. I still believe hitting the lottery is my best hope of getting anywhere with space n time for my art idea list backlog ... That would make me alot happier!
Folks on the news are holding demonstrations all over the country. It wouldn't be the first time the popular vote didn't sway the delegate system. Whoever invented the way that works? It seems unfair sometimes. I still remember the Al Gore election.
This week-end I have some extra Days Off to go for a road trip/visit. Hopefully I'll get alot more extra online time for catch-up. I really hate getting cut-off at the Library here every week. One hour is never enough!
Pics today are from the last toe-dipping trip to the village harbor beach. I saw an oak leaf drifting out with the tide toward that little island, featured in both shots.
Off I go, trying to do an earlier day-schedule for a few days-

On the Ball
Last Week's
Question :
If I made green Troll (Donut) Balls to hand out, what flavor would you expect them to be?
The first thing I thought of was "Boogers", but that is impractical. I do have more ideas, plus answers from coworkers.
Answers from work were
Pistachio
Mint
I'd probably expect them to be Lemon-lime.
But want them to taste like
cookies n cream
(Half-rolled in chocolate cookie crumbs.)
What would be more fun is to rocky-road those flavors with the pistachios... mmmm
On my post "Boo Time"
folks answered:

cinnamon and ginger with a bit of caramelized sugar.
Yep, now I want all of those! Thanks for the brainwaves...
Nope, no time for leisurely baking!
For the pre-Halloween holiday work order I worked about 12 hours. Still recovering from that one- now four days later.
I do like baseball, n am glad I got to see it.
Reminds me of how it felt in 2004 when the Boston Red Sox finally won it after their so called Curse was thought to be lifted, after the Babe's piano was fished out of a pond.
Strange how superstition runs so rampant n so finally defeating the negativity, even if a figment of imagination - it helps you feel like a winner... so you can win.
This week-end is time back an hour, which will help me get a bit more rested, but most I do will be in the dark again. Also election time is almost over, n I can't wait for the negative campaign ads to go away on tv...
Still wondering who will win.
One more work-week to go before scheduled time off n a road trip is planned.
I really like how these came out....
Photos of leaves were used today. The first from actual real collected leaves, the second, webby ,maple-ish ones are plastic from the Dollar Tree. I put them around the window to decorate n see from outside.
