A beautiful summer day for Day Off after a crazy workweek of machine break-downs, n there's so much I need to do I don't know where to start...
I slept, hung out laundry, got to the stores, toe dipped in the beach water, let Mischief lounge on the deck, took some pics, processed some pics, made pizza, n finally switched machines to get online. N that's relaxing compared to the rest of the past week-
Today was the second one so far that felt summery with hot n humid conditions here. If only I'd been more rested for it. Tomorrow is another day full of errands n a pile of things vying for attention.
Usually done in May, I took the storm window off the screen door just this evening for better air flow. I'm hoping I get to cleaning the large box fan by tomorrow to help cool off the apartment better. I'm just operating two small fans so far. It's always so much easier to buy new ones, except they cost so much now.
Prices in general for goods has shot way up here this week- which is normal for tourist season, but news said it'd goods in general everywhere as well.
Fox news also reported on the location of a female Great White shark, tagged off Cape Cod last summer. "Katherine" has made it over 4000 miles around Florida into the Gulf of Mexico, near the Panhandle, n may be heading to summer near Texas this year. Guess it's still been too cool for sharks here this year also...
I already knew Whites were known to travel that far, as reported previously on ESR in a popular post,
Shark Tail Soup, but now more folks will believe it. I'm willing to bet they can travel around the globe in their lifetime, n visit their Australian cousins. It's all about food, temperature, n ocean currents. Migration of species has always fascinated me.
I picked up these shell fragments on my walk today. A recently transplanted Pansy looks good. The first ones I'd transplanted didn't make it.
Now back to deciding what's next...
