PurpPo
A scene of billowing purple clouds rolling below and above,
In a dream full of watery love I swam thru the sky with the heron n hawks.
Low tide cooled my heart ache until it was still, beating slow rhythm in deep sleep.
where the wishes keep good for a lifetime of hope... always

Oh, that is a beautiful sky!! And poem.

JanF, happy to entertain fellow poets- thanks for visiting
Nice. Kind of a quiet solitude for the mind.
That's so beautiful - words and sky.
G, definitely! That captured fleeting moment will entertain me endlessly-
Lynn, It's so good, I almost saved it for a special occasion, but then the poem wrote itself n demanded posting... thanks
Excuse me while I kiss the sky!!!
PS. Check your mail. You'll be pleased. :)
Neo, I actually did see a Hawk n a Heron in the cove before the colors turned purple.
Neo, next stop yippee Yahooie at twylight...
such a beautiful picture
Gorgeous photo and accompanying poem. Thanks for stopping by my blog and saying hello.
Snag - What's a Heron?
Erica, Thanks, one of my new all time faves-
Stranger, glad you like it- Thanks for the return visit. I'll be checking back in over there.
Neo, Great Heron: a 4 foot tall, blue/grey, water bird with very long legs, who wades n eats fish, with an 8 foot wingspan. My first sighting of the summer!
Cool! I'll have to look for a picture of one. Meant to do that earlier but got sidetracked...
#13!
Neo, I take seeing them for granted around here, we have so many marshy estuaries they like. They're very shy n my pics are too far away for my cam. We also have KingFishers I sometimes see dive near sunset time.
Yeah pretty bird. I found some pictures of them. Seem kind of exotic. :)
Neo, they are fun to watch fish. Really large flying overhead too-
and would cook up nice a crunchy in my rotisserie!
Neo, no crunchies for me- Soft stew better on the teeth...
