Half Mast Update

The following is what I had written  last week after the Parkland High School Massacre:

At dusk the Town Hall flag remains half-mast with the Middle n HighSchools in the background.

The New Normal:
18 shootings since the New Year, in 6 weeks. That's a 3 per week average- unacceptable!

How do we convince those with this type of ambition that violence is not the answer to their problems, n that they are punishing the wrong people?

How can we get folks to control their rage n anger at the system n the unfairness of life?

How does it feel to be Attacked...

How does it feel to be a student or parent having to worry every day this could happen to them?

Has everyone been sufficiently traumatized?

Shooters are randomly pushed to the edge of sanity.

Witnesses enter Survival Mode.

Apathetic veiwers are desensitized.

We endure tragic endings n watch many beautiful funerals.

Our hearts never recover.


Can it ever be stopped???

It looks after all folks are doing toward school safety with lawmakers, perhaps it is more likely to get something done about the likelihood of this school violence continuing.
