Poem by SnaggleTooth today

.......................

This is one of several crops used to make these altered pics. That's what it was like walking outdoors last week...

This is another "bad from the window" shot of a frozen cove. We didn't get alot of snow last time, n it has all melted - yay! No boots required for today's walk... Last week I needed skates...

You should really put some salt down on this blog. I might slip and fall!!!

I am looking forward to an outing today. Of course I still have to wear boots. Melting snow turns to mush.

That makes me feel cold just looking at it. We had snow that melted and re-froze to ice on Wednesday - I'm so thankful I don't have to deal with that all the time, as you do.

The cold is gone
no snow did I see
the temp was low
and freezing me

now 60 outside
all day long
I saw a bird
unthaw its song

I'm glad no boots
will you need
make sure your back
before you freez

Neo, I used some sea salt on the porch here. No ice melt allowed with all the dogs because it injures their paws.

Gran Annie, always better not to be house bound! I heard it was still winter in the midwest this week. We are soaked here now.

Lynn, sorry you had a taste of that ice. It was crazy slick n so easy to fall. Never mind all the accidents on the roads! Folks went nuts trying to get the thick ice off windshields too.

Ellis, I'd like that 60 like summertime. Rivers here are having Ice Jams n flooding in the rains today! Huge Puddles everywhere. I needed a canoe to get across town today... Roads closed. Detours! At least it has been above freezing for a little while.

Melting snow and ice is a nightmare to walk and drive on. Hope you didn't have a fall, or if you did you didn't harm yourself. I enjoyed your poem!
