The sunset I'd gone to fav beach for this week was for the most part obscured by thick clouds on the horizon.
.
I think I've mentioned on ESR that my Digi-Cam doesn't seem to see the reds my eye does, expecially when I can see that odd phenomenon of the setting sun as a glowing red ball. It has until now been seen on my pics as only a white space when I get home.
.
Finally, I got a small Digi peek of that pink orb I could see with my eyes filtered thru a thin spot in those clouds. It was so windy (25 to 35 knots), it's amazing any shots came out in focus- I was braced against a rock for this one. You can see the water being pushed by the strong gusts.
.
My hair got really messed up, but I went to the store after for errands anyhow... after somewhat twirling it back with my fingers.

The Digi-cam sees in one direction your eye sees in many. So the eye will get shades and tones the Digi-cam wont.
It's lovely - thanks for the Cape sunset. :)
That sky is amazing! Gorgeous capture, Snaggle.
Now THAT is my kind of beach day, Snaggle.
Give me a rugged craggy grey.
Give me wind -- I'll take that day.
I'm not the sort to lie and sun.
Cooler contemplation -- that's MY fun!!

Ellis, it always amazes me what the eye sees- items which seem so large end up so small in pics also. I thought it was due to the iris adjustment n the cams fixed settings...
Lynn, Thanks- at least we weren't in the storm section under those clouds! We've had several good ones this week.
Talon, Thanks- you wouldn't believe how many times I've tried to get that colored orb shape to come out-
JanF, You like my notriously windy spot, without sunshine, eh? I liked there wasn't other folks out there- I like sunlight, having missed so much of daylight hours due to work!
Thanks for the little rhyme- I contemplate all the time myself-
BB, Poor Jannie! My cam has problems alot too- freezes up, batteries die out fast, now the card is almost full again!
I hope her Ebay prob clears up soon, n she gets rich selling stuff...

I think you'll like it.
I would be very pleased if you like to follow my blog.
:-))))))))))
so, what you are saying is I can use the "I've been at the windy beach" as an escuse for why my hair is the way it is? All crazy and sticky uppie like.
Nice shot.
Hello Joe, welcome to ESR comments from Germany! I see you're also a songwriter, Visual Designer, n like Star Wars. I see you do alot of stylized famous folks paintings like Elvis, love fashion, n post photos too. Thanks
Paige, I was gonna ask commenters if they'd go to the store looking like Nick Nolte, or if they'd go home n fix it first!
Well, I have to save fuel bux, n yes- it's a great excuse!
No...not only portraits but I'm somehow into it since a couple of weeks...don't know why...I'm doing a lot of paintings...different...more or less abstract...just to make people happy with my art and to show what I like...all I draw are persons i really admire.
Thank you very much for your comment, I'm always very thankful when nice bloggers stop by my art...there are not many people nowadays interested in art what is a real pity. Art seems to be not very important for the younger generations that are too much influenced by watching TV or playing computer games. Don't you think?
Joe, Yes, I think most younger folks aren't as appreciative of arts due to the electronic media revolution in general.
But take heart, I find artists are some of the best bloggers, after all!
