Ugh it's Aug

Finally a few days under 90F to not over-heat in...

I reminded my new boss about requested time off coming up next week, n good thing because he had the wrong week on his calendar! There's a sibling bbq planned by the South Shore, so I'm hoping the weather is good there so I can get in a beach day.

What I like most about summer chores is the light amount of laundry to keep up. So much less work than winter layers, even with more towels. I scored several $3 t-shirts at Back to School Walmart sales too, along with a notebook n pack of pens for a buck.

I've been notebook writing alot since I've been here a year now. Noticably my tired state has contributed to my lack of inspiration in poetry n hand-art-work.  recently. Now my ragweed allergy has my eyes all swollen n I always have to take benadryl to stop the head-aches. Still, I manage to feel ambition even if I'm having a tough time doing anything extra.

I cropped out this seagull from the beach last week. Every time a group near me left the beach, he n his pal thoroughly searched the site for scraps, n did find some buried food treasures. They got really ambitious n robbed some people who left their stuff while going to the water... Of course, my stuff was tied up inside bags, so they couldn't get mine. The other folks slowly realized it was their fault, not the birds. Some newcomers learn slowly...

I learned it's been very difficult to live as I have in the past year. Hopefully I find ways to improve progress. Work is about to get very busy for this week-end before I get a few days to re-coup.

This reminds me of folks laying on the beach.

the above is from the crop pic.

It's the Pan Mass Challenge fund-raising week-end bike ride from Hopkington to ProvinceTown, stopping overnight at near by Mass Maritime Academy. Work donates breakfast goods for the participants n we will be swamped. Hopefully after that I get some relax time.

Beach days are good
if not too much sun
that old red skin
will rune all your fun

work is no joy
for what they lay down
that tiny bit of money
just won't go around

yet like that seagull
it's fun to fly high
but to live one must
walk on hot sand or die

Just to let you know I just posted 10
of the poems I was saving to post later

So sorry this has been a rough year for you with your new living situation. I keep hoping you will find something much better soon, or that the situation will change and have less challenge.

It sounds like it was a good thing that you reminded your boss of the time off. How terrible if you waited too late to bring the subject up.

Ellis, The sand is burning hot!
Get to the water- Hop!
Don't even get out of the icy spray
Wait until summer goes away...

Oooo I will copy n save to read at home- Thanks Ellis, Stay tuned for how that beach trip goes- supposed to rain.

Tabor, Less challenge n more sleep would help, yep. But tho work is miserable it allows me to be here, so I guess I am tolerating this somewhat better than other folks would. Amen!

Gran Annie. N the request for the days was made in writing with the dates n day of week. He threw out the note! Gotta love inexperienced bosses thinking they will remember. Now this week is screwed up. see the next post-

Lynn, Yay time off beginning today! But can't do all I want again- it is too hot for outdoor stuff now- Thats okay, I can putter endlessly in my room, read, n write. The beach there has icy water that will be nifty in this heat- Thanks

You can't beat Walmart's $3 t-shirts! The only time I wear t-shirts is when I'm in AZ it's never warm enough here in the UK. Love the bird shot!
