Day Eight-in-a-row is behind me, n now there's one more before the coveted Day Off arrives. Sore is an understatement, black n blue more apt.
.
Alot of slushy-snowing going on tonight which I had to drive home in, but the roads aren't too bad, considering that last snowy ride. Thankfully, there aren't alot of cars on the road to contend with while I'm trying being careful in the slippery conditions.
.
At Day Off time I'm prob gonna sleep thru the whole thing, nevermind run a gazillion put-off errands. There's just never enough free time for my 2-Do List lately. Been meaning to get some discounted dark chocolate Val-candy but haven't had time yet. Craving that rich chocolate...
.
The past three days have been wonderfully quiet because the downstairs neighbors are away somewhere (spring break?). It's such a relief to get several hours of sleep without all the interruptions. Whew! I wonder when I'll finally get some un-busy time to loaf around again...
.
Work Day Nine is on my docket. My record is sixteen at this same job. I'm not getting extra pay or hours for it this time. My Days Off were moved around from the beginning of one week to the end of the next. (Rip off!).
.
What's the most you've been required to pull in a row on the job?

I think I've always had at least Sunday off every week. I feel for you, Snaggle, and hope your day off brings loads of delicious sleep.

when I worked at the deli I would often work 2-10 on friday or saturday and then have to open the store the next morning. often when I "worked" until ten, I would end up working later than that finishing up my workaholic boss's to-do list. and for soem reason at every job I had sans TJMaxx I tend to not get breaks... the one that pissed me off the most was the Drug Dealer job uptown. you know how the pizza place wasl iteraly right next door.. one day I asked if I could go get soemthing to eat (at lunch time during an 8-hour shift) and they gave me a super hard time about it, said i had to be back in 2 minutes or whatever. It was bad enough there was no where to sit and eat if i did decide to bring food- I had to sneak my food working behind the register. atleast at the deli I could have a few moments to eat or get a drink for free, there it was about timing. now I drive and eat or eat while working at the computer, but that is my choice, as now I just want to get my work done.

Snaggle, I hope you get a ton of rest and find a little time to get that chocolate fix sorted out :)
I'm glad the neighbor's from hell are absent at the moment and I hope they stay away for a while!

Note: Yes readers, that is fast food garbage crammed under the edge piece of the village pier!

Lynn, You are lucky! May you never feel my weariness- Thanks

MB, So you're on the marathon shift- made to feel guilty over breaks-
At BK I had to close n open a few times. That's nuts- What misers at the old Pharmacy! At least noew you get to sit down- I have to walk all the way to the truck to sit 10 minutes, but worth the soft seat!

Talon, wish I didn't have so many chores backed up nagging at me! Thanks for your well wishes, n I hope you're correct!

I like how you showcased the trash. There is soooooo much jetsam and flotsam in places around the lake trail it's a sin. Things like cups and chip bags. I should organize a skiff party and a bunch of us clean up. That's the only way to get to the edge of the water, it's all reeds, undergrowth and such there.

Spring break? Early for that maybe, probably gone on some illicit mission somewhere?? :)

BB, Wow 146 days, quite a marathon workweek.

JanF, I usually clean the entire woods by myself every spring. When I see it- I pick it up- because the garbage disgusts me! There are cans on the pier- folks are just slobs!
I wish my downstairs neighbors would contain their garbage better- all over the yard, in the shed, behind the house, on my compost pile, all over the front porch, n always going into the woods- I can't keep up with them. Gets me pretty grumpy.
Here it's Feb school vaca week. Some folks always must party.

JanF, ibid. Wow, I got so many comments today! Don't know what I'd do with 50!

When I was doing two jobs, I was frequently suffering from wicked burnout...but to answer your question, I once did about six months in a row.
