As light fades on a world of human domination,
I am but a speck, one grain of sand.
Strong winds sway me, threaten to slay me.
Betrayed in the shadows with hopes glimmer.
Turning wishes to reality churning to gold.

Lynn, I feel so small compared to the grand sunset. Thanks, it shows a very small speck of bright sun dissappearing..

ThommaLynn, That's what I wrote looking at the photo- (taken with dying batteries darkening the image)-you can see why I'm good at inventing Sci-Fi scenarios. Thanks

Yes, hang onto those glimmers of gold always.

Just an awesome poem. And stunning picture -- what a choppy sea that was. I love those sea days best!! make me feel soooo alive, as I did yesterday on Enchanted Rock when the wind was about 60 mph.

whoo-hoo!

JanF, I'm hoping for some real gold to come my way, too-
60mph??? Did you bring a kite? How's the hair holding up? Mine always gets a bit natty at the windy beach area-
Thanks, the poem was a quickie- sometimes pics make me write them... pic is from that same sunset as wind-kite dude, btw.
