Resort

More pics from the week-end for ya. They had alot of good blossoms left. This is the main building where the function room for the wedding reception was.

Out the back of the reception place they have several decks n two pools overlooking the golf course with the Mountain view. I wanted to get in Mount Washington back there, but the haze n angle make it easier to see in person than in the pic here. Someday I'll have a telescopic lens again.

I didn't bring the bathing suit... notice no one was in the pool, either. It was so hot that day. This place is incredibly quiet! Everyone must've been at the Speedway watching NASCAR.

Hey, thanks for stopping by my blog today! It was cool to see you there, I'm only used to seeing you at Neo's or Mikes :)

Looks like you went to a nice wedding this weekend!

Thanks Barbara for your return visit n comment. I'll try to get over more often. The wedding was lovely, n those people are wonderful. I've stayed part of their lives since 1981.

From the picture behind the reception area, it looks like the leaves are already starting to change up to foliage colors. I'll bet that made a nice back-drop to the event.

Ah yes, poor old Mt. Washington. I was shocked when the face fell apart a couple of years ago. Now we have no more "old man of the mountains" to boast about. I did go up there many many years ago and snapped a few pictures, so I have those to rely on. Kind of creepy though that it doesn't exist anymore.

How was the food???

Ellen, I never stopped to see the face in the past, except moving by it on the highway with my parents n sibs ages ago. You're lucky to have pics!
There were just a couple of colored sprinkles in there, less than 10%-

I thought about you carrying those heavy steam-server dishes every time I saw the buffet table!

The food was alright, but of course I didn't taste the two different seafood salads. One had Italian tortelinis in it-. Stuffed chicken breast (mushrooms), a rare prime roast piece cut per customer, whole-grain rice, Mashed n red-potatoe salad, squash, n greens with ranch dressing. The stawberry mousse filling cake was good, too. (I was stuffed)!
I was glad I could eat the food, cause the ord'ouerf platter was gone before I got to it- Fruit, cheese , n veggies. Had to wait from 5pm ceremony to 8 pm to eat, after arriving at 2 pm...

Wow, that's a long time to wait to eat..... and not even a cracker left?

Sounds like you had some steller food though.... and very wedding-like. Yum.... Prime Rib is still on of my favorites, and don't hold back on the horseradish sauce!

As for the chafers on the tables holding the food.... yup, I've lifted many in my time. At least the arms get a great work-out, even if the back suffers a bit. LOL!

Ellen, I split the last cracker n last piece of pinapple with my friend's little girl...
I'm sure those food server things are very heavy! You must have arms of steel-
I've been lifting way too much daily at work this year myself - still looking for a less strenuous job. Lately I've been feeling like Ms. Hercules (with sore wrists)!

(Note: If ya click up the larger pic, Mt. Wash. is just over the corner of the building)
