Set a Spell

Just alot of rain this Day Off, n the plants are lovin' it-
But no sunsets to see except last weeks takes, which you'll see more of. Everyone's phones buzzed at the same time last night at work with the Flood watch alerts, n for sure the drivers were bummin' out with downpours during deliveries.

Last week's storm measured 4.5 inches on the Toad rain-meter. Today just got read at 2.75 inches, so I guess the local drought is officially over, n no watering needed for a bit.

It was pouring with thunder n lightning to beat the band after I got home, so I had to stay off-line as the power flickered. I really needed rest after another tough week anyway.
Now back to the chores....

These summer storms are quite powerful, but we do need the rains. We had about two weeks of dry hot drought and now everything has greened up again.

Glad the drought is over!

Hope you busted out a slew of chores, mine seem never-ending. TG there will be spaghetti and beer tonight when my chores are done. I know you are not a beer person, so I will pretend it's champagne as I toast you from afar tonight.

xooxxo

Tabor, our drought was up to the hurricane rain on the 4rth- we were so far behind, n the plants still aren't caught up- but at least my lawn is green again! Guess we're all getting a drought then flood turn!

Jannie, am on the zippy machine first time in weeks- n will visit your blog in a few minutes. Chores never are done, but at least I'll have clean shirts! I've been a cranberry juice person all month- n chocolate milk! Blueberry tea now tho- Thanks

We had a thunder storm last night and I have to say I was pleased because the weather has been very warm and sunny for the UK and the grass and plants sure needed a drink. Glad you got some rest anyway.

loved your blog visit poem, thanks. On a zippy machine here too today, at library. I did renew my anti-virus by my 'puter is still pretty slow. I'll be spending more time at library until mine is faster (hopefully)again. Might have to speak to the mcafee peeps, see if going for the upgrade in their service would get me what i want out of my puter. I'd rather put in another $40 for their turbo, vs $300 for a new laptop. I know chores, never-ending. :) Take care and have a great weekend!! xooxo

LLcoolJ, I'd forgotten to mention the Summer folks next door Had left too- so I got uninterrupted sleep! I bet the plants there are happy with the conditions there for a change-

Jannie, you are inspiring with your prose there yourself. I hope the $40 holds you for awhile there- Thanks

Lynn, Better rain than too dry, but some poor flooded folks got alot of it. It felt like a wasted day to me, I guess.

Lynn, I've had some very good shots lately- Thanks for enjoying it!
