Ice Writing
Last week when the temp rose to above 20 F, I went to the village pier after picking up the mail to check out the ice. So coming up soon are more of these pics.
I just really like these altered versions gleaned from a simple pic of a long, wavy line of shrunken down snow leading up The left edge of the wide pier.
The original isin't bad either...

I would love walking along that pier, but oh my - I'll bet it's cold right now by that water.
I LOVE the original!!! It's like an auger of snow. :) Does it twirl to Santa's Workshop or to some undersea mermaid world? Classic Snaggle, capturing the whimsy and beauty of nature's brush in that wonderful thin dune of snow.

Lynn, at least it wasn't -20 F like the day before the walk! The wind always chills you, so ear cover scarf required!
Jannie, Thanks, excellent observation- like the auger word- It looks like a line I'd scribble with a thick calligraphy marker.
The original is excellent, I love the wavy line of snow but as Lynn said it does look very cold!
LLcoolJ, well cold is relative when compared to earlier sub-zeros- i had no trouble keeping other folks out of my shots, cause no one else was out there! The colors are muted because the sun had just set when I'd arrived there.
Cool original. Altered look like sharks tooth or arrowhead.
Gran Annie, keen observations- I like their strong graphic qualities, n tend to think of an oriental character with chopsticks n a squid head... tho not exazctly either... Thanks
