Birds swim unalarmed,
Hike wet lowtide sand.

Crunchy shells, seaweed ice.
Barnicle clinging to rock for life.
Abandoned in dry air
Awaiting high waters return.

Free to see,

The gulls look so right in that photo and so wrong when I see them in local parking lots.

Talon, They do belong in the sea after all- Not good for car paint either! We have alot of gull species here now. regular gull party- thanks, I'm glad I got out there again too-

ThommaLyn, Thanks, I'm glad you like my purple snow- It's the second time my cam got these colors there at sundown- Last time a year ago in Jan 2009. For this shot I was kneeling in the snow.
