Little Bumps
. . Today I realized the last time Blogger allowed me to to get post text where I actually want it placed was way back on March 15. Prior to that time, I could always go back to edit n get it to change. For some reason, the editor's been changing the spacing upon hitting the publish button. . The past several weeks I've been re-locating spaces but upon publish, it would double some spots of text again. . In the case of my last poem, "Before," which seems totally different from the intended structure with out the form, after editing double spaces out at least 20 times, it finally removed my ability to put in any line breaks!. . I've even tried deleting n re-entering all the text, plus re-writing html code "div" tags, n it wouldn't allow the changes upon publish, tho it says it was published. . So forgive my sad text placement recently. To me it's very aggrivating to not have the control I wish. I'm really picky about it too! . As this pic from the woods this past week reminds me, just another little bump in the road, try not to go crazy over it... (Will I have to try re-edit this one too? - Come on Blogger, get with it!) Blogger again took away all my paragraph line breaks here!

Another blogger I read was having the same problems with posting. I wonder what is going on?
I would sometimes have that problem on my picture blog. Quite often I found it was easier to wipe out a few of those "div" tags than try to make an attempt at re-writing tag.
Usually wiping out the html tags to a few of my posts does the job with no muss and no fuss.
But yeah, sometimes Blogger can be a real....well, you know what I mean.
I feel like I should be whispering in case Blogger is listening - and will find even more ways to irritate. But, oh, yeah, it's been a pain. The spacing thing drives me crazy, too. I keep hoping it will start behaving, but so far it hasn't. At least I can mostly comment now. The other day I couldn't comment on my own blog, but I could on everyone else's - lol!
yeah, I think we all have that problem, but I'm addicted ya know
There is a squirrel ghost in the html editors in untold numbers of computers worldwide. The poor little fuzzy guy got squished in a laptop whilst stealing nuts, and forever haunts the coding airwaves.
I'll try to a few of my best squirrel exorcism incantations for you. They just might do the trick!
xoxo
yah, wot my jannie sed about the skwirrels and such -- its troo. i had to say a spell and get some eyes of noot to get rid of his gostlie shenanigins on my eye-phone.

Tabor, I'm thinking it has something to do with using the old blog template n refusing to update to "Layouts" format because I want control of the html- which is what's messing up on the editor now-
G, I've been writing IN the Div tags, n they won't stay! They self-erase- never had a prob like this before. Thanks It sure can!
Talon, Sorry to hear it's been acting up for you too! (At least it isin't only me with the comment thing-). I really don't want to post poems especially this way! The Help forum thing really turned me off- I want to email a person.
Paige, I'm addicted, but spoiled rotten having formatted my stuff so well until recently-
JanF, A squirrel Ghost in the html- What in Tarnation? Where's my shotgun? Time for some Squirrel Frika cee! That's what I get for feeding them out the window every day...
BB, Sorry to hear your iphone had one too! Good thing you found those ingredients. No new newts here, only itty bitty salamanders in the woods. Definately a ghost in the machine!
Don't you wonder what has caused the smoothness of the "bump in the road"? Animals resting or leaping over the log at that one point? People pausing there on a long walk? Deer sharpening their horns? ...?
great results with your playing with the pic of the log among the trees. I love it
Try doing it in word first then copy and paste it here. For spaceing use Enter or return not line spaceing.
Gran Annie, I'm pretty sure it was some teens who peeled the bark off. This is a favorite hookey hide out! There's also spray paint on some trees-
David, Thanks. Good tp see you here again!
Ellis, I pasted from Notepad, but do now wonder if Word will hold the paste tags. I've been using enter/delete. Thanks
I've been having real problems with blogger too. It seems that when I change text styles everything goes wrong with the layout. Drives me nuts!
Like the photos!
LLcoolJ, Sorry to hear you're also having Blogger layout issues. Now I wonder if it happens at certain change points... hmmm- I've tried re-uploading that entire post in a new draft several times- always takes the breaks out!
Put up a just text post of the poem ok tho- wonder if the pic - text wrap tags are messing up? We may never know- Thanks
Here's the oddest thing - this just showed up on my reader and it says it was from five days ago. I'm sorry to be so late commenting. Yes - something flukey is going on with blogger.
Lynn, yes- they've definately changed a few things-
The most recent thing posted was actualy "Before Text" with a changed date on it below the pic version n I had to type in the div tags, without pics just to get line breaks!
I've been hoping some one at blogger reads this post n figures out the problem so i can still have pics with poems AND line Breaks-
do you have a guinea pig blog in the new format? if not, maybe you should try it out and play with it. I Think it works great and still give you the option of switching over to html when you need it. There are other great blogging sites as well suck as wordpress and tumblr if you are frustrated enough to switch.
good luck!
MB, Sandpipe Hedge n Photo Essay are "Layouts", altered "Minimal Black" templates, but I have no text to publish there. Maybe I'll open another to play with. My other two Guinea Pig blogs are old format. Doesn't everyone use test dummies?
Never heard of Tumbler, Thanks for suggestions.
fyi.. tumblr is actually spellled without the "e"
MB, not a typo eh? Thanks
