The wharf n park in the center of town which used to have alot of orange net-fence everywhere is currently dismantled to get some construction completed before tourist time.

I'd wanted to go there last week, but wound up walking out on the fishing pier on the other side of the water to get a look at the project. Probably will be awhile before it's together enough to hang out there again. I don't get over that way often anymore due to condensed mileage.

Hard to imagine tourist time with the snow we still have, but nice to know it's somewhere around the corner.

Hope your work days fly by and your off days go nice and slow, Snaggle!

Tourist time! Isn't that amazing that summer is just around the corner?

I wonder if the average tourist appreciates all the year-round work that goes into making things look oh so perfect for their visit.

Probably not.

They might perceive their travels differently if they did.

Thankfully, we have your studied eye to fill in the blanks.

A walk not where you'd like
construction undone
done when unknown
work, work sleep
tomorrow maybe tomorrow

Talon, At least someone is thinking ahead. Those guys are pretty frozen trying to get that done this week, but at least there's no snow here! I still have little hunks of ice in my yard-
Thanks

Lynn, Can't wait for tourist bux n jobs too. The corner is closer...Thanks

Carmi, Hey, welcome back! I'm sure tourists have no idea of the work done for them here. But it wouldn't get approved to do if the tourist bux weren't so important to our town...
I'm sure fisher folks are missing the wharf, n boats have no where to disembark either. thanks

Ellis, again, you have nailed it! I'll have a bunch to do Day Off again anyhow- but can't go hang out there for at least a few months. I like the Off Season best.

I like the way these edits have what feels like energy lines running through them

I wish I could be condensing some of my mileage these days! Wish we could carpool more than we do. I should talk to the other mom, maybe we can step it up another afternoon or 2 a week.

I remember so much orange fence and construction in Mahone Bay too for a long while. And road work too. Always something, eh.

Geez, I'd love to visit ya, but probably not this year. Some day, tho!! Some day!

xoxo
