Soothing

Chiffon over pale blue
Purple over pink
Two Sandpipers sailing
Mauve over yellow
Yellow saturates near source
Burnt green almost black
Over marsh green
Then shimmering surf seen
.
Two folks on little Jette rocks
Savoring the sea scene
Small beach bay distance
Large jette jutts out
Into reflected colors rippling,
dancing, comforting my soul
While small minnows nibble
Soothed legs in warm salt bath
................. Poem by SnaggleTooth today ...................
I wish there was a way to be transported into that photo as that is so tranquil, the colors so calm and serene that I could happily stay there and just enjoy.
"savoring the sea scene" - perfect because those are moments to savor.
I love the way the photo lays with its' light purple hue and soft yellow spanning the top touching grays and ocean blues pink across the trees stand this warm salt bath for two
Note to folks: These were my memories of observations made at the moment of the pics click, starting over my head, n ending at my toes, while standing in 70F water up to my shorts hem at fav beach for 15 minutes while the sun went down.
Lynn, My soul really needs comforting lately due to such selfish folks observed, especially at work. I really needed those few minutes-
Talon, I'm sure you could happily spend eternity in those moments, the water temp so balmy! I enjoy taking pics from in the water p.o.v. Previous to sun below the horizon, it seemed a whole other color combo- then changed moment to moment. Glad I could see it myself! (n the cam batts didn't die (was low)-
JanF, My feet hurt so badly from work the day before I really had to... I love the cute minnows picking air bubbles off my legs n feet. They don't have teeth! Beats crab pinches anytime!
BB, Actually it's a "No Boat" zone! tho there's a place the windsurfers get to launch by that small jette. You have to stay out past the swimmers bouy in the boat. Wouldn't wanna run down any folks... the pool is way safer, plus there's no crabs to pinch you!
Mr Ellis the fantabulous poet, Welcome to ESR comments! See my note at the top here about the words. I chose that pic from over 30 others at different setting stages because it evoked these words- The poem could not exist with it!
Thomma Lyn, The entire experience of standing still there at that scene soothed my extremely frazzled at work nerves. Almost didn't take the side trip- n So glad I did! Glad to spread it around!
Artist Alert!
I create all kinds of things. Closet musician, song-writer, Story, NF writer, Book Designer, Poet, Painter, n Sculptor. Working another job tho. Long hair, fairly ancient.
Where's the Dough? Maybe I'll get paid some instead of eating it. I'll get there one day soon, because I'm very determined n hard-working. Some one has to do it! As usual, I'll volunteer.
Time n energy helps.

That scene is so beautiful and calming, Snaggle, and I like the poem, too. I'm glad your soul was comforted by this - I can see why.

The warm salt bah on legs sound great, but the feel of minnows tickling me freak me out a bit. :)

You painted the picture nicely
Mmmm, your lovely poem soothed me, just reading it. And your photo is the perfect accompaniment.
