Ah yes, the tourists have arrived with their multiple vehicles.... I remember it well! You should see how many vehicles we could park in our driveway at Swifts Beach. Makes me kind of embarrassed now.
I wasn't aware that houses had plugs in them. I knew about the stilts that were manditory after Bob blew through, but always wondered how helpful that was. It seems that the wind does a lot of damage as well as the water during a hurricane... wouldn't the house just blow off the stilts?
Love the view that you have, though... only too bad the trees are chewed up by the 'pillars.
Snag - Have a safe and fun time for the 4th.

Ellen, there are at least 6 vehicles from downstairs all around my yard (on the grass) right now, not including the 25 foot boat,
the trailer (shown earlier), n two tents, n the people are wall to wall too!
My neighbor (in his 70's) lived in this house when he was 5-years-old, n told me about those houses n that they were built after the no-name hurricane in '38 that claimed about 400 lives around the Cape. The plugs allow for less water pressure n damage. The pilings (stilts) go down 20-30 feet below the the ground, holding a foundation the owner can still claim to build on even if the walls come down. It's illegal now to build anything here on the water edge because of ecological regs, n zoning bylaws, so these spots are priceless!
Neo, I'll try again to download your tune, n hang around home (except for visiting BBM n Baby J) after I wake up- I deserve my sleep big time, what a crazy week at work! Thanks- I will! U2-
