Cold Wait

Photo by SnaggleTooth Feb 9 2013

Ice Frozen. windblown Fury
Darkness falling. pitched
Locate the light tools.
Finish what was started.
Abandon the undo-able plans.

Not going to do so much now-
Wasting time on Nitty Gritty
Don't waste light, make it last
Wait again until daylight
So dim, so cold after two days

Feeling forgotten, forlorn
Too much waiting: No warmth,
Radio, reading, jogging,
Endless dark evenings.
Blizzard Power Out

So spoiled with TV
Internet, heat, hot water,
Bright light all night long,
Warm toes, hot food,
Less work keeping warm...

Still Waiting

Tabor, I'm just too isolated without the connection online- n I do have alot to be depressed about in the low-light, no distractions place I was stuck in. Nevermind losing all that work pay... thanks

JanF, Jogging in an attempt to feel warm, n up n down the stairs too. I jog alot more than I used to these days, but not for fun... Who? oh Me! Yes I do, thanks

LLcoolJ, Being online n communicating with folks again is way, way, better than total isolation! Thanks.

Neo, good idea if 1. I Had the can, (all plastic here!) n 2. The branches weren't iced under 2 feet of snow... How I've longed for the heat of a wood-stove- no hearth, fireplace, or flue here tho.
