Sleepytime

What a dreamy sight of the M-cove.
The first week of August 2009 was hot n humid when I stopped to snap this shot. This overnight it's still in the 60's F, n we're expecting hot, humid, in the 80's F for the first full day of Autumn! Wish the work week was over already, but still got another day to do, n after that I'll be all spent again.
.
I've never had an "easy" or "unrushed" day at my current job, ever. I'd prob fall asleep if I did, even tho there aren't any chairs there... When it gets slow, I'll usually opt to go home early.
.
Have you ever fallen asleep at work?
(I haven't, yet-)

Oh yea, more than once. We are either too busy or not busy. these days with my carples I opt for not busy otherwise it hurts too much.
and the weather here is nice this morning...66 F of course it is supposed to rain latter so it is very, very humid.

Peace your mind and the body will follow

Lately I could sleep standing up, I'm so sleep deprived. Sometimes I'll put my head down during my lunch break for a quick snooze. I seem to have an ability to wake up at the right time...

Absolutely gorgeous shot, Snaggle! We had a little hot and humid weather, but tonight we're back to normal cool temps and I'm grateful. After a strangely wet and cool summer the humidity was harder than ever to take.

I haven't ever fallen asleep at work, but there's been times when I've had to REALLY fight it.

Paige, I take it busy is too much keyboarding- Working for yourself is far too nap tempting for me- It's been very humid here today.

Lynn, The deprivation gets worse as the years roll by, unless not working, of course- it all adds up. You're lucky not to sleep thru too long, that's what I'm afraid of. I need an alarm-

Talon, Thankyou, just has a soft feel to it, n makes me think of bed- The high humidity is difficult to work in, just sweatier. We expect cooler by Friday.
I fight it everytime I slow down lately.

I remember falling asleep in class in college a few times.

I too am needing much more sleep. Is this a global trend? Or at least a blogger's trend?

At this moment I fully intend on ditching my walk and coming home to sleep later this morning. Friday and Saturday night won't be of much help as we're embarking on the twice yearly school camping trip, and with kids running around until almost midnight (but Kelly has signed an affadavit she will be in bed by 11:00,) and up at 6:00, I'll be soooo tired. But I can nap Sunday. And Monday.

I am so tired.

This too shall pass.

Guess I better go for some coffee now. You are so smart Snag to have rid yourself of that addiction. What a morning monkey.

G, Must be alot easier napping at a desk job, I would think. I used to make bar code labels, n chose to ditch the chair because of that "boring as hell" factor. Obviously, it gets your creative writing to go wild, tho!

JanF, I remember a few folks from college snoozing away as the prof ignored them.
One girl at a front table, with the pen in her hand propped to write on the notebook did it infront of the whole Typography class!
Of course Art History was the sleepytime fav, with the comfy auditorium n the lights out for slides... That was a tough one for me- but I was stressed out memorizing the artwork.

I've never fallen asleep while I was djing! Can you imagine that? :D I find it hard to get to sleep when the gig is over because I'm on such a high, but I can sleep almost any other time, apart from in bed.

great photo.

I never fell asleep at the office, but back when I was in college, I was took a math class whose professor was so boring that I routinely napped in class. :)

LLcoolJoe, Ya, hopefully the tunes keep you hoppin' Welcome to ESR comments! Performing is a big high for sure, due to the adrenalin- I've been like that after guiter gigs, tho been years. Thanks

Cookie, Being a Mom is THE most impt job ever! Usually tho, unless sick, you sleep after they drop off, cause they get get into trouble so easy. Thanks- really, I yawn every time I see this pic!

ThommaLyn, I used to hate classes that you could figure out better yourself than with the Prof lecture- but of course attendence is always required to pass...
I've had alor of non-stop yawn days, but am too uptight to fall asleep...

I think if you are paying for college you can't be kicked out of class if you're enjoying a little shut-eye, as long as you're not snoring.

Well, it turns out I did actually brave a short walk Friday morning after all.

And got nicely caught up on sleep on the camping trip this weekend -- yep actually! Those Bulgarians are a nice quiet lot after 10:30 p.m. :)

JanF, you don't get kicked out, but it makes for quite a show for everyone to snicker at- if it's on the exam n not in the books, you don't get an "A."
Camping must really tire the Bulgarians out- Did they sing Bulgarian folk tunes n do traditional dances around the campfire?
