Snow on the Beach
Crusty, icy sand crystals
Gusty, frozen wind gales
Bouncy, dancing water ripples
Meandering, sunken footprint trails
Winter shore crusty, white
Wind chill gusty, sheer
Wild cover bouncy, blues
Wandering, meandering telltale signs
The tide comes in, The tide goes out
The snow falls, The snow melts
Seasons shift, Sands sift
Right is wrong, Reason fades

You sound as though we are losing you! Such a wild and windy post!
A perfect description in prose. Lovely.
Right is wrong?? :)
I like that meandering U-turn trail that one dude took.
Melting soon all that white stuff, I'm sure!
xoxo
All the snow and cold makes me shiver!!! It sure is pretty though. We have rain and wind today. I am sure looking forward to spring. I imagine you are too!
I like your descriptions of your surroundings.
Is that snow I see?
Is it white all around?
Did it pile up deep
or stay low to the ground?
Are you having fun
or digging yourself out?
I'm sure it's not cold
with that white all about.
Tabor, Not yet, tho I had frost heaves in my sleep, n prob my brain! It's just a word play poem. Easier to see the structure without the pics with the text in straight lines. It was too windy that day.
Lynn, I didn't g down there that day- too cold! Thanks
JanF, Snow on the beach is wrong, isin't it? I did wonder at those prints... Alot has shrunken this week, short crusty snow piles all over.
Mountain Mama, not good swim suit conditions here! The wind chill factor is what does you in here. Only 1 month until calender spring. Another storm expected today should be mostly rain, TG. Thanks
Ellis, Yes it started very deep about 2 feet, then shrank n sunk for these pics. Has melted away more now. Rain ontop today. Been bitter chilly until now, will be happy for the above frozen! Thanks
Oh, I could feel the cold blast of winter and it's inherent isolation in this piece, Snaggle!
Talon, It was bitter out there in the windchill. I'm still feeling isolated too- Been awhile since I played with words. Thanks. More snow tonight again...
This reminds me of an old church hymn, "On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand....."
If you don't like today's weather, just wait around and it is sure to change.
I like Desk 49's poem, he sounds like a right awesome Seuss with his rhythm and rhyme.
Just checking in on ya, before I head to peaceful slumber. I want some cake or cookies, but have none, boo hoo, so I hope I find some in my dreams, then in real life tomorrow, as I told Lynn. Carmelita bars!!!
xo
Gran Annie, I haven't heard that hymn. Here in New England we have a weather saying that goes, "If you don't like the weather, just wait a few minutes!" It can change that fast sometimes...
JanF, Ellis is a gifted word-slinger for sure, n he always breaks down the post facts as he sees it- always a welcome surprise of prose here!
I'm making more banana bread- At work they keep getting too over-ripe to sell n I hate wasting them- so missing another hour of sleep to use some up again. Will scoff some down before I sleep. I hope you dream of nifty suger-plum faeries dishing out ice cream n carmelita bars! Lynn always eats the best food!
So you are still freezing your butt off? It all looks and sounds beautiful but only if you are warm. I hope you are okay there.
LLcoolJ, The snow is melting away finally, n we're having a cold n windy rainstorm I had to go out in today! At least the heat n power at home is working ok. Winter does seem to be going long this year, thanks.
Snow on the beach. Sounds like a drink!
Neo, it does- But You're prob remembering "Sex On the Beach" made with vodka, peach schnapps, cranberry juice and orange juice, I like "Madress" (vodka n cranberry Juice) better!
