Looks Restful

Sing to the tune of
"Sittin' by the dock of the Bay."

Sittin' at the pier
All day
Letting the fish
Take my bait away,

Snoozin at the pier
Snore away
Wasting my li-i-ine...

*Replace whistling with gull cries

(Note: His bucket was empty...)

Ha ha I wonder why his bucket was empty! I'd so love to fish, just to get away from everyone and nod off to sleep like that. I wouldn't care much if I caught any fish. :D

That's what I used to like about fishing with my dad - I kind of fished, but really mostly watched him. :)

Lovely post, Snaggle.

There is no explaining the restful feeling that comes with just sitting behind a pole with a line in the water. Fishing is not about catching fish.

I see many of these guys. They are just getting away from the wife with her honey do list on their day off.

Looks like he found the perfect way to relax, Snaggle :)

I'm now humming, "Sitting on the dock of the bay..." :)

LLcoolJ, ya but if I see you snoozin' there I'll put your pic online! I'm not too big on public sleeping myself...

Lynn, Yep, alotta patience waiting around involved. I hope they weren't too hungry for a free fish dinner.

Gran Annie, for me as a youngster it was always about getting the big fish- n I always got more than everyone else. One time I got 21 white perch from a rowboat in a lake.

Tabor, I was thinking they were probably too hung over to stay awake. So you get alot around your lake, eh?

Talon, He was sound asleep. Those are nice camp chairs. That tune sticks in my head everytime the "TimeLife" oldies cd collection commercial does the soundbite- Mischief likes when I sing it to her.

Wow, 21 perch yummy!

I've tried hard but have never had much luck with a pole and a line.

Great song, tho. I'll sing it to our cats too, see if it becomes their fave.

xoxo

Janf, My Mom, sibs, n cousins had a feast on them. Me n Dad never ate fish tho! I used to use some drop lines without a pole sometimes, n rarely got to use a boat. I hope you got some purring out of the tune...
