Happy Labor Day
.
No pics of destruction to report today.
All went well overnight while I was up watching out the open windows while sheets of heavy rain n some wind came thru in waves until about 5 am.
The storm exited n degraded to tropical storm level after getting hit with the Westerly wind currents aloft, according to the Channel 5 weather guy.
.
Several summer neighbors next door came down to salvage the rest of the long week-end, n the place is hopping with BBQs once again.
Some of the local beaches have been closed in the aftermath due to rip tide currents n bacterial conditions due to storm run off.
.
Now that all that storm readiness prep has been done, any subsequent hurricane threats will only need a minimum of work next time. I do plan to move the numerous deck plants back around where they were tho-

Back to Labor Day week-end activities n visiting with folks. Got in lots of energetic n yummy times already today. Downstairs are still out somewhere, so I get to sleep too.
(Pic n altered pic are from earlier this week.)

Labor Day
... ... Summer ran with the ball
... ... To herald Autumn's fall.
... ... Remind Winter to chill out
... ... Before Spring sprouts back to life.

Glad every ting is still fine.
I can bet the plants got plenty of water. I bet you will still find some kids out in the water. Have fun on Labor Day and keep safe.
Ellis, It's tough to keep the toes out of the water for everyone- but it was a cool 70sF day. We will! Thanks n Happy Labor Day to you too!
I'm so glad everything is okay and I'm super glad the downstairs folks are away so you can get some decent rest! Have a super Labor Day, Snaggle!
I enjoyed your four season poem! I just wish we could jump from Fall to Spring. ;)
Talon, It's such a luxury to have quiet n be able to get enough sleep. Seems the more i bet, the more I want- Alas, it won't last much longer n it's back to the work-schedule grind again-
A place with only Fall n Spring would be an interesting world...
I'm glad the storm wasn't bad!
Lynn, we were very lucky n prepared at any rate.
Summer does run with the ball, until autumn kicks her butt -- kinda like Lucy pulling the ball out from underneath Charlie Brown. :)
August, dies she must...
September, I remember...
gee, Paul Simon is such an amazing talent.
But spring will spring into action, for sure!! :)
xoxo
JanF, that's exactly it! Plus football starts, n that day we were playing run in a field with bouncy balls of all sizes...
