New Designs

I'm so spoiled with the space I had, I'm going crazy trying to fit what I want to have on hand in one room. Alot of tools n supplies are going in storage. This is taking alot longer than I expected, This is way too much work for one person. I had some good help last week, but It will be a crazy week trying to get all the loose ends dismantled n together. I'll try to leave the computer up a little longer, but after that I'll be off-line awhile until I get to the library, time permitting.

After all this hauling I could sleep for a month- I'm so physically n mentally exhausted. Hope your Independence Day was fun- I didn't get to see that movie again yet, but have it on dvd for after I get settled in.

Breathe in and breathe out and realize that this move is going to take longer than you expected, you will learn you have stuff you do not need, and finally you will find peace with patience.

I enjoy these pieces. Having lived on a boat for 20 years I completely understand what you are dealing with. Good luck

Tabor, being sentimental about stuff I've kept makes this very difficult. Can't ditch artwork either. Thanks.

Cloudia, Living in a boat must have been tough choices about what to have there too- Thanks for the emotional support. Aloha!

Ellis, You may all understand, but I would rather stay on the blog- Change is easy to resist. Thanks

Sometimes a task like that needs a to do list - do you do that? I'm sure it's hard - it's been so long since I moved, but I remember well how exhausting it is. Hang in there!

Just listening to some Chicago on YouTube, at the moment that song about "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?" (love that band!) and wondering how you are doing. I know it's been a lot on your plate with the move and all, but thinking you will be happy in your new place! Wish I could be there to help you sort your things. I WILL be helping a friend with her move this Sunday, though. I need the exercise moving boxes!

Lynn, I have several lists n chipping away is coming along. Really I need more sorting time n less rain when I have trips out planned. Rain again today. Thanks.

Jannie, I have that Chicago's fave Hits CD but the player is now in storage n CD's packed in a box. Love those warm horns. The new place is too small, crowded already, n my stuff isin't all there if I want to do a project. Also I'm not used to waiting for the bathroom n showering. Going to have to throw out most of my food, because can't fit it in one cupboard shelf n one frig shelf. Other folks there have more space than me. I am sore from work n don't need additional exercise. Thanks.

You'll get through this because you're strong. And if you quit I'll come down there and kick your ass missy! So as I've said over the years. Just bring it! You have a lot of people cheering for you. Find your confidence in your new surroundings, get your bearings, adapt, improvise, and overcome; as the Marines say.

There is no failure, yet there is darkness as without it we could never appreciate the light.

Be the light you wish to see Ev.

Maybe whatever you don't really need, you could sell on Craigslist? I know storage can get expensive... And hopefully this will be so worth it financially, that you can enjoy that aspect. You WILL do this, and come shining through better than ever.

And ouch, a mosquito just hot me, off to the Aloe bottle now...

I envy you getting to move to a smaller place. There is no way I could have room for all my junk!

She is finally all moved! Her computer still isn't set up and online yet, and I'm not sure how long that will take. Continue to send her well wishes- this was a tough job to do.
