Heating up

Photo by SnaggleTooth June 7 2011

We're expecting 90 degree F heat in the New England zone the next few days. June began with cool days tho. I finally got most of the fans washed, openned up the storm windows, put down the screens, n removed the plastic winter insulation. I even finally sprung for some $2 ice cream to put in the freezer. I've been wanting some for a very long time...

I'll be eating mostly soft food for awhile- my tooth n ear-ache problem is more painful again this week after it had been somewhat better last week. Maybe the heat will help a bit- I've noticed cold aggrivates my ear alot, especially after I'm in the walk-in freezer at work.

Weather forecasters are also predicting high ozone levels, which makes my asthma act up more.

Image by SnaggleTooth June 7 2011Thursday my work station prob will be 110F degrees over the newly cooked food... First another Day Off tho. Don't know if I'll even be up to a beach walk or mowing, but I'll play it by ear, if my ear let's me! Hopefully I get to toe-dip at least.

I got another SD card very cheap. Good thing, sunset was sure pretty again last evening... Would've been a shame not to take pics of it!

Stay cool...

Snag - Sorry about your ear/tooth. It isn't going to resolve itself my friend. Is there any way you can get to a dentist/doctor/clinic to get some kind of treatment?

Peace,

- N

That photo of the sunset is so soft and dreamy, Snaggle. I'm glad you got the SD so you could capture it and share it!

I hope your ear and tooth problems ease up for you. We've got that high heat and humidity and it's just plain hard to be outdoors for any length of time without feeling like you'll dissolve. We've had storms every night - I hope the storms tonight clear the air again. It's still a bit of a rollercoaster ride...

That is a picteresque sunset! Look at it this way, after your dental issues are resolved you can have as much as ice-cream as you want... :P

Lynn, all the pics were so good it was tough to choose what to post. Thanks.

Neo, the tooth nerves simmer down after awhile. The bad teeth will get pulled at some point, alot have been. The cost is more than I've got now. about $250 per tooth! The ear is worse with the allergy swelling. I have ear drops which help. Meanwhile I take care of it myself. I need to hit the lottery...

Talon, Glad you enjoyed it. Kinda sorry I brought up the toothache again, but that pain is tough to ignore! I try to tho-
At least you got some heat- beats those TX fires! N you're reminded why you like the cool air there- One report had scientists saying this will become normal conditions with global warming- yikes!

Opaque, I'm not waiting,I'm eating it now, just following with warm rinses n compress- I can't chew- The molars are the bad ones. I also have yogurt n squash on the menu this week. The ice cream prob is cholesterol...

Ellis, Yes, I'm always busy! It drives folks nuts... I have ants in my pants, n still in the house, too! Isin't that the best pic? Some others of the batch are just as good-

My ear continues to bother me. The doctor said it was excess wax buildup and prescribed ear drops. They helped at first but after about three weeks the pain returned. Tried the drops again and again after a few weeks, the pain returned. Yikes!

Love the sunset:)

Gran Annie, that's similar to what I've been going thru. Extreme pain, it clears up a bit, then back to the severe pain. Ear plus tooth is the worst I've ever done yet- tough to concentrate on anything! I hope they figure out a better way... Good luck to you! Thanks

Geez $250 per tooth -- that's just nuts. I'll pull your molars for free. :) :)

But seriously, my dear, hugs on all. So so sorry for your pain. What if you took Tylenol?

Prayers and love,

Jannie

Buddy, I'll try to call soon, was wondering a few things. Hope Pal's cell ringy is the same. Good luck with the pond- is that by the new place?

JanF, in MA only oral surgeons will pull teeth. Dentists are afraid of malpractice Ins. premiums very high here. I go thru at least 100 tylenol per week lately- it's all I can have. No Ibuprophen or heavy meds- can't tolerate them. Thanks

250 per tooth? You need to dentist shop. Shouldn't cost any more that $100; With it being numbed.

Neo, It's a state thing due to high mal-practice Insurance cost. Only surgeons will do it here. Cost is higher without any insurance too- You can't even get emergency appointments when you need them- docs or dentists! Took 20 calls to get the last bad tooth pulled. It is very bad here-

But I thought Tax-a-chusus had their own state universal coverage plan thanks to Romney from when he was running stuff there? A long wait to see a doc but everyone was covered right?

Neo, I legally don't make enough for my age n county to pay a penalty for not having coverage. If I did, dental is still optional, n costs additional premium $.
I know alot of uncovered folks. This is what I get for working.
