Leaves n Berries

More leaves, anyone? I can't decide if these are good enough to use for postcard images or not... so may as well put 'em here. The bright orange n pink seed-berries are from trumpet-flower vines which are native in this area. The contast between the berries n the leaves gives ya a very good idea of how dull the leaf color is this year. I haven't adjusted anything with the puter, except for size. Better stop playin n get back to this week's project...

Oh I love the contrast, even if the leaf colors are a little dull. It makes the berries stand right out.
We finally are experiencing the color changes here, and since we didn't get as much rain as you, they are more brilliant than they have been in years. The red maples are truly spectacular, and the nandina bushes are full of beautiful orange berries. I think we got what NE was supposed to get this year.
Thanks for the pics... I love seeing them!

Very cool stuff!

What about putting a different colour as a background? Burnt orange or brown? Love the berries though... very cool idea!

:)

i think the scans have been coming out very well. try taking a walk around the neighborhood to see if anyone has a burning bush. they have relatively small leaves and are bright red! the berries are pretty tho!

Ellen, so do you have a scanner or digi-cam so ya can upload a pic? There's a photo icon in the edit tab tools that lets ya browse your puter to get the pix on. I wanna see your garden...

Using Up the Words, actually, I'm using sheets of paper over the leaves on the scanner glass. I do have more colors in the stock pile somewhere, just need more ambition! thanks for the ideas...

MB, burning bush as in Azaleas? Really though, I'm still tryin to get a B-day thing together for next wk-nd...

City Soul, thanks for the visit and the comment!

Snaggle- actually I don't have a scanner or digi camera. When my son graduated from High School in May, I had my friend (his former babysitter) take all the pictures, as well as take pictures of my yard at the after party. My photo days have long since passed, I only own an old Konica 35mm now.
I will have to ask her if she can scan them in for me on her computer, she has more knowledge on how to do all that. Would love to show you though.

Hey Ellen,
I really like your new template background!
My new scanner isin't as good as the old one, cause it uses too much memory, driving me nuts, n slowing down my whole day...
