Undamaged

Just a quick update to let everyone know all is well here, altho many in my state are snowed in without power n heat. The radar on the weather report showed the snow skirting right around my town! We were spared, except heavy rains n high winds. I made it home from work safely. The poor deck plants got rolled around in the winds a bit, but most will be ok. (still haven't picked them up).
Reports say 11 folks died in storm related issues so far- one guy was electrocuted on an unseen live wire. I am indeed lucky n blessed.

Cloudia is mean. Just kidding. But I do bet you wish you were in Honolulu with her and glad the worst of the weather missed you.

I was alarmed when I heard that my great niece's father (would that make him my nephew-in-law?) was driving her from New York to Virginia in that snowstorm. He reported on facebook that they were going 40 miles per hour. Much relief when they made it there safely. (They are moving from New York to DC this week and needed the baby to be taken care of elsewhere.)

I'm so glad you are safe and sound. It's scary how many people lost their lives over this freak storm.

Cloudia, That's right, you used to do Nor'Easters too. Over a half Mill folks still without power out East here. Thanks- Aloha

Gran Annie, Tropical sounds comfy about now, yes- Thanks. I'm lucky this round.

Lynn, Poor timimg for your niece's family to move! That's a long drive at 40mph. Glad they made t safe- n will be warmer in DC too. I just heard the toll is up to 21 folks now- just a crazy storm! Thanks

G, Thanks, guess at least your power (PC) is on. Sometimes it's so obvious you picked the right spot to live...when you see what other folks go thru.

Glad to hear all is well with you. I was wondering if you got hit.

Just so sad about the lives lost. You never know what Mother Nature has up her sleeve.
