Falling Whispers

Falling into new routines

Keeping pace with change.

Leaving as the leaves fall

Chasing winds follow me.

Chilly thoughts as Winter

Whispers "Quick, hurry up!"

As long as it is of your own making I'm happy for you.

change are stressful
old routines long set
winds blow from all ways
cold winters not here yet

Beautiful poem! I had dinner last night with a friend who was a college English professor before she retired and she said she always had her students write one poem per semester. I was thinking I wouldn't be able to do that, but it's clear you would!

Ellis, we all tend to stasis,
to continue as it's been
Seeking security in peace-
But it can never last

Everything around is pushing at us
Tugging our sleeves...

Jannie, Well everything is up in the air for me,
N mysterious for my next step for me as well-

Gran Annie, thanks, n quickly written too!

G.B., Thankyou, hope you are enjoying the slightly warmer weather there this week-

Lynn, I've been a practicing poet since grade school. it is easier when it's habit earlier. I don't strain myself to write, it does it all by itself when it wishes...
My English profs always loved my stuff. Plus I got an "A" on ten pages about the tiny poem "Fire and Ice" by Robert Frost once. It's all how it makes you feel to read it. Thanks
